Chang Yu said that the Kunming city project uses the AOSSCI XC-25 UAV. Besides the six-hour endurance, it is also a redundancy UAV. That is, a spare system (such as power supply, GNSS, IMU, magnetic compass, and actuator) for several key systems of the whole aircraft adopts the redundancy design, which effectively reduces the system failure probability and flight risks. Given that the failure probability of a single redundancy system is 0.1% (1/1000), the dual-redundancy design will reduce the failure probability of the system from one in one thousand to one in a million.
